Cancellation & Refund Policy Last Updated: May 2026

Entity Definition and Application The domain name thetravelfoot.in (and its subsequent extensions, hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) is owned and operated by The Travel Foot Adventures Pvt. Ltd. For the purposes of this Cancellation & Refund Policy, the Terms and Conditions, Disclaimer, and all associated legal frameworks, “The Travel Foot” (also referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) refers collectively to the registered corporate entity, The Travel Foot Adventures Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office at 22, Upper Kolhupani, Chandrawani Khalsa, Pondha Road, Dehradun, Uttarakhand – 248007, India.

1. General Guidelines for Cancellations At The Travel Foot, we meticulously handle all ground operations, making travel cancellations from our end extremely rare. However, because our operations require strict advance financial commitments for permits, accommodations, transport arrangements, and equipment logistics, we enforce a structured cancellation framework.

  • Written Notice Required: Any cancellation request must be submitted formally in writing via email to connect@thetravelfoot.in. Verbal cancellations over the phone will not be processed.
  • Timestamping: Cancellation charges are strictly calculated based on the exact date and time we receive your written cancellation request relative to your scheduled trip start date.
  • Refund Method (No Cash Refunds): All eligible refunds are issued exclusively as a Travel Foot Wallet Voucher, acting as a credit note for future travel. Depending on the notice period provided, these vouchers remain valid for 6 to 18 months from the date of issue. (Please refer to our complete Wallet Policy for redemption rules).
  • Force Majeure: If a trek or tour is canceled by The Travel Foot due to extreme weather conditions, government regulations, or other uncontrollable external factors, specific rescheduling or credit options will be provided as outlined in our Date Change Policy.

2. Cancellation Deduction & Voucher Schedule The following tier system applies to all cancellations initiated by the traveler. The deducted percentage covers non-refundable vendor advances, GST, and gateway transaction charges.

a. Cancellation 30 days or more prior to the trip start date

  • Deduction: 15% of the total invoice amount.
  • Refund: 85% issued as a Travel Foot Wallet Voucher (Valid for 18 Months).

b. Cancellation 20 to 29 days prior to the trip start date

  • Deduction: 25% of the total invoice amount.
  • Refund: 75% issued as a Travel Foot Wallet Voucher (Valid for 15 Months).

c. Cancellation 15 to 19 days prior to the trip start date

  • Deduction: 35% of the total invoice amount.
  • Refund: 65% issued as a Travel Foot Wallet Voucher (Valid for 15 Months).

d. Cancellation 10 to 14 days prior to the trip start date

  • Deduction: 50% of the total invoice amount.
  • Refund: 50% issued as a Travel Foot Wallet Voucher (Valid for 12 Months).

e. Cancellation 7 to 9 days prior to the trip start date

  • Deduction: 65% of the total invoice amount.
  • Refund: 35% issued as a Travel Foot Wallet Voucher (Valid for 12 Months).

f. Cancellation 0 to 6 days prior to the trip start date (Including No-Shows)

  • Deduction: 70% of the total invoice amount.
  • Refund: 30% issued as a Travel Foot Wallet Voucher (Valid for 6 Months).
